Job: Assistant Professor in Biological Anthropology / Osteoarchaeology

    At the Faculty of Archaeology, Leiden University, The Netherlands

    The successful candidate will be responsible for specific core undergraduate and graduate level courses with the opportunity to participate in developing and teaching in new graduate programs at Leiden University. Core courses with laboratory training will include human osteology, paleopathology and forensic anthropology, in addition to courses in their area of specialization. He/ she will contribute to the supervision of theses within the BA, MSc and PhD programs. 

    Apart from teaching, the assistant professor is required to establish an active research program with the goals of original research leading to peer-reviewed publications, successful acquisition of external funding and the dissemination of research results to the greater academic audience. The candidate is also required to participate in administrative responsibilities, commensurate with experience and level of appointment.
